Science
of Flight Teacher Workshop Tap into the magic and mystery of flight! Learn science instructional strategies for integrating aviation into your K-12 curriculum. Take a step towards becoming a Highly Qualified Teacher under the No Child Left Behind law by earning a science credit through Adams State University. Join us for two exciting days of standards-based aviation education at the Weisbrod Museum on Pueblo Memorial Airport. Topics on Friday include:
Saturday is an Aviation Fair including make-and-take centers, hands-on activities, and even the opportunity to take a flight! Participants will leave with detailed lesson plans and enough materials to do these fun and educational activities with a group of 30 kids. The hands-on activities are great additions to any teaching forum - CAP cadet squadrons, Boy & Girl Scout troops, 4H leaders, and any other folks who work with kids. Cost: $30 ($40 after June 30) to cover meals
(lunch both days) and supplies. Credit through Adams State costs an
additional $45 - payable to the college on the day of the workshop. Science
